The Automobile Association (AA) is still the most notoriously pro-car and pro-road-building of the motoring organisations. The Royal Automobile Club (RAC) has moderated its views in recent years and sounds measured in comparison. A competitor insurance firm the Environmental Transport Association (ETA) prides itself on not lobbying for new road-building, and organises sustainable transport events.

TRANSform Scotland is a member of the European Federation for Transport and Environment (T&E), an umbrella organisation for non-governmental organisations working in the field of transport and the environment, promoting an environmentally responsible approach to transport. The London-based member of T&E is Transport 2000

TRANSform Scotland has joined forces with the Everyone campaign, to mobilise supporters and the public to lobby their political candidates about the environment, and so raise awareness and concern. This is a joint initiative amongst many Scottish Environment LINK bodies.
