Comment on Borders Rail Announcement:
Welcome for go-ahead of works to reinstate Waverley Railway line
TRANSform Scotland welcomed today's announcement
by Deputy First Minister, Nicol Stephen, that work has started to reinstate
the historic Waverley Railway line, bringing the Borders Railway nearer
to completion. [1] [2]
Paul Tetlaw, Chair of TRANSform Scotland, said:
"This is a welcome announcement for people in the
Borders and all along the route to Edinburgh. There has never been a more
appropriate time to invest in our rail network in Scotland. We look forward
to a speedy completion of this project."
